Author: Charles Waddell

"For quite a while, Father Charles Waddell has been helping people know Jesus. This enabling has come out of his life of prayer and his love for people. Hundreds, probably thousands, have heard him speak of Jesus and have experienced his care as a loving priest who tries to imitate Christ. In this book, Father Charles puts at our disposal his gifts as an anthropologist and theologian so that our knowledge of Jesus may be deepened. As one who reaches out to the hearts of others, Father Charles engages our minds with the same sensitivity and lightness of touch as he does in his everyday dealing with those who seek to have Jesus as their saviour and friend."

The Revd. Frank Sheehan, AO, Chaplain and Director of the Centre of Ethics,
Christ Church Grammar School and Canon, St George's Cathedral, Perth

"How can there be salvation for such imperfect beings? The message of this book is that it is the quality and character of Jesus rather than of us that makes salvation possible."

Fred Chaney, AO, Senior Australian of the Year 2014
and former Federal Senator and Minister

"An excellent book in line with the priorities set forth by Pope Francis for a renewed approach to the Christian tradition."

Teresa Francesca Rossi, Professor of Ecumenism at the Pontifical University of
St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome and Associate Director of the Ecumenical Centro Pro Uniome

"The Author - not only a Pastor and a Theologian, but also a former Anthropologist at The University of WA - highlingts the very existential aspects of the life of Jesus. Jesus Matters echoes the concern of Fr. Waddell's ministry, as well as his rich spirituality and meaningful experience of Jesus Christ."

Margherta Maria Rossi, Professor of Fundamental Theology at the
Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome
